Basic Info
Name:Rachel Fuentes
Bio

Full Name: Rachel Ava Fuentes
Age: 24
Origins: The Bronx, New York
Family: Jesus Fuentes, father; Ava Fuentes, mother (deceased)
Background: A year before Rachel's birth in 1982 Ava and Jesus Fuentes moved to New York City from Puerto Rico to pursue the American dream. The American Dream, however like most things wasn't entirely attainable for a family with no prior wealth or way to make ends meet. In fact the Fuentes' barely had a grasp on the language of the people around them and by the time Rachel was old enough to speak she was acting as their full-time translater.
Jesus, unable to provide for his family the way he had hoped he would be able to began to hitting the bottle night after night, losing what little money the Fuentes' did have in gambling debts. With nowhere left to turn and nothing left to live on Jesus began taking out loans from whoever was willing to give them, including a local clan of demons who would occasionally turn a sympathetic ear to immigrants who had hit hard times, only to take back their investment in a pound of flesh later on.
When the tribe of demons came to collect Jesus was unable to make payment and was left with the choice of dying for this transgressions or making a trade. A few hours and broken bones later the demons left with his five year old daughter in tow.
Rachel spent eleven years with them. At first she had thought they would only kill her and as time went on, she even wished it. Locked away from the world of normal girls, Rachel spent her time underground where the demons had nested. Cleaning up after them when it was needed, used as a decoy whenever they needed a human and forced to perform countless other duties and tasks there was only thing Rachel wanted more than death and that was vengeance. By the time she was sixteen she had spent the last eleven years watching them, learning about them, understanding them so that she could kill them. Escape wasn't even on the forefront of her mind when she ripped her way through them or when she walked away from the only home she'd ever known home shadowed by a tower of flames. She hadn't thought about escape until escape was inevitable, she just wanted to kill them and when she found herself standing on the city's sidewalk at sixteen years old she wasn't sure where to even start living in the world.
With nowhere else to go she went back to her parents' apartment and when her father answered the door she quickly noticed the blank look in his eyes. He had no idea who she even was. After finding out that her mother had passed away years before, she left without even identifying herself.
Moving from shelter to shelter and mugging wealthy looking people to make ends meet Rachel barely resembled a human being, but she wasn't a demon either. She didn't understand the world or the rules that went along with living in it. One night while robbing a bookstore she was arrested and thrown into the city jail for the night. The next morning she was surprised to learn that someone had posted her bail and vouched for her premature release. Escorted out of her cell she was introduced to Matt Warner, a former member of the NYPD.
Rachel quickly learned that Matt had been fired several years back for 'reckless endangerment', which inevitably translated into a knowledge of things that the rest of the world wasn't ready to conceive of just yet. He had been tracking the clan of demons she had grown up surrounded by and was surprised to learn of the teenage girl that had wiped them all out.
Taking her in and teaching her how to fight was the easy part, helping her figure out the world and getting her to trust anyone was the harder part. After awhile she did grow to trust him, years had passed and the two of them had watched eachother's backs so often that she had no choice but to put her faith in him.
He watched her as she grew up and filled out and one night after a good kill and a few too many shots of Jack Daniels the two of them took their relationship to the next level. Things seemed like they might work out for a little while, Rachel had a place in the world and plenty of demons to kill in the city that never sleeps.
After some time passed she began to recognize a distance in Matt that she had seen in herself only a few years before. The harder she tried to fight to hold onto him the harder he fought to be away from her. One night home too early she found herself listening in on an intimate conversation between Matt and another woman.
Afraid that she had already lost him and nearly inept at a verbal confrontation Rachel found herself at a loss, until he came for her one night. Immediately she noticed what was wrong with him, he was cold to the touch and when he pinned her to the wall and a row of pointed teeth began to descend she knew that she had been right to fear the worst. Fighting him off within an inch of her life she realized it was long past time to take matters into her own hands.
It didn't take her long to unhatch a scheme that Matt had been too blinded by unhappiness and scotch to pay attention to. When you were a demon hunter who tended to dwell in a specific city, your name began to get circulated. A plan hatched by the local vampires to seduce and destroy and Matt had 'sucker' written across his forehead.
Eventually he had a stake thrust through his chest, Rachel standing at two piles of dust. Matt and the vampire who had turned him.
Armed with a shotgun and a bad attitude Rachel left New York to see what the rest of the world had to offer. She had run into various demon hunters with Matt over the years and had immediately noticed that most of them spent their lives on the road, going from town to town and killing where the killing needed to be done. It didn't take long for her to realize that life on the road suited her well. She never had to stick around long enough to form attachments or deal with consequences. Running into the occasional fellow hunter on her travels she was always careful to keep her distance. She'd long ago stopped trying to be human and started to embrace her true nature. She was a killer, born and bred.
It wasn't until she began to pick up the trail of a demon that another hunter by the name of John Winchester was chasing after that everything changed for her. Trailing the monster through it's deadly wake across the country she eventually found herself face to face with the target, trapped in a house with a bad history, haunted by the voices of the dead. She recognized something in him she couldn't quite place and after fearing that she wouldn't be able to reach him, finally talked him down from the figurative ledge he was standing on before he hurt himself or anyone else. At impossible timing the demon she had been tracking showed up to claim his prize until Rachel intervened. Fighting off the demon she managed to drag Gabe out of the house that had been speaking to him and out into the world beyond. Escape seemed inevitable and in every direction.
Unable to shake the obvious, she realized the only way to kill the monster was to make the monster come to you and so she began traveling with Gabe assuming that the demon would be back to claim him. She expected it to come and when it did, she planned to make it sorry.
What she didn't expect was to rekindle a bond of trust with another human being.

Control

Don't you mess with a little girls dream
cause she's liable to grow up mean

Surprised you to find that I'm laughing?
You thought that you'd find me in tears
You thought I'd be crawling the walls
Like a tiny mosquito and trembling in fear

Well you may be king for the moment
But I am a queen understand
And I've got your pawns and your bishops
And castles
All inside the palm of my hand

While you were looking the other way
While you had your eyes closed
While you were licking your lips
cause I was miserable
While you were selling your soul
While you were tearing a hole in me

I was taking control

Now I have taken control
Now I have taken control...

This is beginning to feel good
Watching you squirm in your shoes
A small bead of sweat on your brow
And a growl in your belly your scared to let through

You thought you could keep me from loving
You thought you could feed on my soul
But while you were busy destroying my life
What was half in me has become whole

While you were looking the other way
While you had your eyes closed
While you were licking your lips
cause I was miserable
While you were selling your soul
While you were tearing a hole in me

I was taking control

Now I have taken control
Now I have taken control...

So this is how it feels
To breathe in the summer air
To feel the sand between my toes
And love inside my ear
All those things that you taught me to fear
I've got them in my garden now
And you're not welcome here

Come a little bit closer
Let me look at you
I gave you the benefit
Of the doubt it's true
But keep in mind my darling
Not every saint is a fool

While you were looking the other way
While you had your eyes closed
While you were licking your lips
cause I was miserable
While you were selling your soul
While you were tearing a hole in me

I was taking control

Now I have taken control
Now I have taken control...

Don't you mess with me
